Welcome to HCCNet!

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC, also called hepatoma) is a primary malignancy (cancer) of the liver. Most cases of HCC are secondary to either a viral hepatitide infection (hepatitis B or C) or cirrhosis (alcoholism being the most common cause of hepatic cirrhosis).

Here we have compiled a network with thousands of HCC-related genes indentified in different types and stages of hepatocellular carcinoma samples and have collected hundreds of microRNAs related to hepatocellular carcinoma from published papers and hope these information can help to improve our knowledge about molecular mechanism underlies hepatocellular carcinoma.
