    Phenotype:The arr1-3 arr10-5 arr12-1 triple mutant produces a short narrow primary root that prematurely ceases growth (Figures 3A to 3C).(PMID: 18723577)The rosette diameter of the arr1-3 arr10-5 arr12-1 triple mutant is smaller than that of the wild type but larger than that of the ahk2 ahk3 ahk4 cytokinin receptor mutant (Figure 5A).Leaves of the arr1-3 arr10-5 arr12-1 triple mutant are reduced in length and width compared with wild-type leaves (Figure 5A).Inflorescences and seeds of arr1-3 arr10-5 arr12-1 also show abnormalities (Figures 5D to 5F).The inflorescence stems of the mutant are reduced in width compared with the wild type (Figure 5D).The seeds produced by the triple mutant are larger than those produced by the wild type, with an ?20% increase in seed length (Figure 5F).(PMID: 18723577)

        Phenotype:Growth phenotype of various Arabidopsis histidine kinase ahk2,3, Arabidopsis histidine phosphotransfer ahp2,3,5 mutants and all mutant combinations for Arabidopsis response regulators ARR1, ARR10, and ARR12 genes. Mutants harboring mutated alleles of these two ahk or three ahp genes displayed a noticeable shoot-growth retardation compared with other combinations that do not possess these combined ahk or ahp mutations, suggesting that reduced shoot stature might be, at least in part, an adaptive trait of CK signaling mutants to drought. In drought responses, mutant combinations of arr1, arr10, and arr12 genes (arr1-3, 10-5, 12-1 alleles referred to as arr1, arr10, and arr12) exhibited similar shoot-growth retardation as ahk2,3 and ahp2,3,5 mutant plants

        Phenotype:In drought responses, first the drought tolerance of 3-wk-old arr1,10,12 mutant and WT plants were compared on drying soil in a long-term drought treatment using the same-tray method developed for comparing genotypes with different growth rates. A significantly high number of arr1,10,12 mutant plants survived under the water deficit, whereas most of the WT plants died following their drought exposure. Loss-of-function of ARR1, ARR10, and ARR12 results in enhanced drought tolerance.
